Before ordering airless pump bottles for a lotion or skincare launch, approve the complete assembly with your intended formula. A photograph or general “airless” description does not establish dispensing, sealing or preservation performance.

1. Identify the Exact Sample Version
Record the SKU, nominal size, usable fill, dimensions, pump version, outer finish and any proposed decoration. Ask whether the sample represents the components intended for production.
For the listed bamboo airless pump bottle, request clarification of the AS/PCR material descriptions before approving a resin specification.
2. Obtain the Component Breakdown
List the product-contact bottle or bag, piston where applicable, pump, seals and other internal parts separately from the decorative exterior. Request drawings and material details for the selected version.
Confirm whether the inner assembly is designed to be removed or replaced. Do not describe a package as refillable solely because parts can be pulled apart. Ask for the intended refill process and its evaluation.
3. Agree on Filling and Assembly Instructions
Ask the supplier for the intended filling method, fill level and closure assembly instructions. Evaluate the process with your filling team and intended production conditions.
Record the trial configuration and observations so that an approved sample can be reproduced. Resolve issues with trapped air, assembly or pump operation before approving the order.
4. Check Priming and Dose Consistency
Record the actuations needed to prime, output per actuation and behavior as the container empties. Use a defined measurement method and repeat the evaluation across representative samples.
Assess the formula at the intended use conditions. Thick lotions, thin fluids and particle-containing products can behave differently; a general viscosity claim is not an approval result.
5. Measure Residual Product and Usability
Measure what remains after dispensing under the agreed conditions. Do not use an untested 99% evacuation rate or a universal “less than 2% residue” promise.
Check normal use, the proposed orientation and whether the cap protects the actuator. Record sticking, loss of prime or inconsistent delivery as issues to investigate.
6. Plan Compatibility, Seal and Transport Checks
Agree on package compatibility, sealing, storage and transport evaluations with your product development and filling teams. Use the intended formula and decorated assembly where relevant.
An airless mechanism does not guarantee no leakage during air transport, no oxidation or a particular shelf life. Preservation and microbial safety also need assessment; packaging alone does not justify a preservative-free claim. See FDA's microbiological safety guidance.
7. Confirm Decoration and Environmental Evidence
Approve artwork positioning and the acceptable exterior finish using samples. Request evidence for any certification or environmental claim you plan to publish.
Distinguish the bamboo exterior from internal plastic and other components. Confirm the actual recycled-content scope, certification scope and disposal instructions rather than calling the entire pack biodegradable or universally recyclable.
8. Build the Quotation and Approval Record
Send one line per SKU and configuration, including size, quantity, decoration, formula requirements and destination. Confirm MOQ, sample costs, production timing, shipping and packing details.
Keep the approved component list, sample results and agreed changes with the order specification. Define which changes require a new sample approval.
